28-31 March the capital city of Ukraine, Kiev, was hosting an annual FIG International tournament in Artistic gymnastics ‘’Stella Zakharavo Cup’’. 160 participants from 20 countries had participated, and among them were our gymnasts.
The best result from our team was shown by Ioane Jimsheleishvili , who had taken the third lace on the Vault. Another our gymnast Bidzina Sitchinava was in final of Parallel Bars.
Read more »On 14TH March , our Youth National team in Trampoline gymnastics travelled to the USA . They have attended a joining training camp with the USA National team members. They had trained together for more than a week. This was also preparation for the annual ‘’FAIRILAND CLASSIC 2019’’, which is an International tournament in Trampoline gymnastics. The tournament took place 23-25 March 2019.
Our young trampoline gymnasts had done very good job and they had won 5 medals.
Read more »Our Gymnast Natela Bolataeva had participated at the ‘’BALTIC HOOP 2019’’. This International tournament in rhythmic gymnastics took place last week in Riga (Latvia).
Natela took the Bronze medal in exercise with the Clubs, she got 17,850 points.
Read more »Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation on March 14-17 hosted the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup , AGF Trophy at the National Gymnastics Arena.
This World Cup was important for the gymnasts who wish to participate in the Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games. The World Cup lasted for 4 days: 2 qualification and 2 final days. 120 men and 50 women from 41 countries had participated at the World Cup. Among them were our MAG gymnasts.
Read more »Members of Georgian National Team of Artistic gymnastics from 4 to 8 of March , had participated at the international tournament, which was held in Mogilev (Belarus).
With our gymnasts participated also 58 gymnast from other countries.
Our gymnasts did a very good job and got 12 medals, including 3 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals. Our gymnast Konstantin Kuzovkov took the second place in All-around and and Bidzina Sitchnava was third.
Read more » Last week, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) in cooperation with the Gymnastics Federation of Serbia, organized a course for Gymnastics for All (GfA) in Novi Sad (Serbia).
The course was held at the Park Hotel in Novi Sad, with 26 participants from 14 countries of Europe and Africa taking part. The participants represented not just the countries where the GFA is implemented and working already , but countries were the GFA at the moment is just a good idea, and they have plans to start it in their countries.
On 25TH &26TH 2019 in Lausanne was held a meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG). On that meeting, one of the topics was reviewing the bid proposals to held UEG Executive committee and Presidential Board meetings. The UEG has taken decision that the 3RD UEG Executive Committee meeting 2019 should be hosted in Tbilisi (Georgia).
Meeting will take place from 28 August to 1 September 2019.
Read more »At the Moscow RG Grand Prix 2019, Georgian RG gymnast Salome Pazhava had taken Bronze medal in exercise with the Clubs.
In the All-Around Salome had taken the 6TH place, and she participated in three finals: exercises with the BALL, exercise with the Clubs and exercises with Hoop.
The best result she got in the exercise with the Clubs, were she got 19,300 points and the 3RD place.

Read more »On December 27, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia awarded the best
Georgia's ducation, science, culture and ministry awarded the best representatives in the Georgian sport’s world of 2018.
The member of our Federation Mrs. Eliso Bedoshvili, who is the Head coach of the Georgian National team of rhythmic gymnastics, and three times world cup winner, and the winner of the European championship in the group (1990), had been awarded with ‘’The best judge of Georgian in 2018’’.
Read more »Last week, the capital of Azerbaijan city of Baku held the FIG Congress. Representatives of all gymnastics federations and affiliated clubs and unions were presented at the congress. Congress was called to decide some major flagship projects and plans.
Among the delegates was the President of the United Georgian Gymnastics Federation Mr. Konstantin Lashkhi who had some important meetings as with colleagues form other Federations, also, with some FIG and the UEG authorities.
The Congress had made some decisions, such were for instance:
--the Congress has accepted the creation of an independent ‘’Gymnastics Ethics Foundation’’
--the FIG now counts a total of 148 member federation. The continental distribution is as follows: Europe-50 members, Asia-37 members, the Americas-30 members, Africa-24 members, and Oceania -7 members.
