Yesterday, in Tbilisi (Georgia), started an International tournament in Rhythmic gymnastics ''Neli Saladze Cup''. This cup is dedicated to the legendary coach of rhythmic gymnastics Mrs. Neli Saladze. At the moment Mrs. Saladze is the Vice-President of the United Georgian Gymnastics Federation. This tournament is annual and this time it is already the 12TH tournament.

Yesterday, finished the 2ND European Games in Minsk. Georgian Olympic delegation team had taken the 7TH place in the medal ranking, among the 50 countries. Our federation, UGGF, was introduced by 5 gymnast in 3 disciplines. The best result had been achieved by the leader of our National Trampoline team : Luba Golovina. Luba had taken the second place.

Today at the MINSK GAMES 2019 women gymnasts participated in Trampoline gymnastics. Our team leader Luba Golovina had one of best her performances and she got the Silver medal.

26-27 May Tbilisi (Georgia) held the National Championships in Artistic gymnastics. The championships took place at the New Gymnastics venue in Dighmis Chalebi. 60 gymnasts, boys and girls from :Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi had participated at the tournament. The winners and medalist were awarded with medals and diplomas.

                 From 2 to 7 May in Kutaisi (Georgia) was held the 1ST International tournament in Artistic gymnastics “Kutaisi Cup-Our Future Olympians’’. Fifty gymnasts had competed at the Junior and Pre-junior levels. Participated the following MAG and WAG teams: Team Azerbaijan, Team Czech, Team Georgia , Team Tbilisi (Georgia), Team Kutaisi (Georgia) , Team Batumi (Georgia).

        Last week, city of Botevgrad (Bulgaria) held  an International tournament in Acrobatic gymnastics “Acro Cup’’.  At the tournament participated teams from : Bulgaria, England, Moldova, Greek and Georgia.

          Our acrobats had done a very good job in the qualification and also in the finals.

10-14 April in Szczecin (Poland), took place 8th European Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships. At the tournament were up to grabs the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games licenses, and also , the 2ND European Games Minsk 2019 licences. Our WAG gymnast Polina Borzykh got one Nominative license for the Minsk Games 2019.

        6-7 April in Tbilisi was held  the Georgian Championships in Acrobatic gymnastics.

         80 acrobats  from : Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Terjola and Rustavi  had participated at the Championships.

       Our Acrobats  had taken part in #whitecard activities.

     28-31  March the capital city of Ukraine, Kiev, was hosting an annual FIG International tournament in Artistic gymnastics ‘’Stella Zakharavo Cup’’.  160 participants from 20 countries  had participated, and among them were our gymnasts.

     The best result from our team was  shown by Ioane Jimsheleishvili , who had taken the third lace on the Vault. Another our gymnast Bidzina Sitchinava was in final of Parallel Bars.
