Today, started the World Championship in Trampoline gymnastics. The capital of Japan, Tokyo is hosting this event, and 336 gymnasts from 37 nations are participating. This Championship is one of the major qualification events for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games for the trampoline gymnasts. The best 8 woman and 8 man gymnasts will get the Tokyo2020 qualification places. Georgia is represented by two gymnasts leading Georgian trampoline gymnasts: Luba Golovina and Tengizi Koshkadze. Just know we got the qualification round results and we can congratulate Luba Golovina with her place among the best 24 gymnasts in the Semi-Finals.

Last week, in France was held, 27th International Gymnastics Tournament Daniel D’Amato Le Blanc-Mesnil. 75 gymnasts from 10 countries had participated at the tournament. For the first time , among other were our gymnasts: MAG Levan Skhiladze and WAG Ani Gobadze. Levan Skhiladze on the exercise with Vault got the the Bronze medal. And Ani Gobadze had qualified for the two finals: Vault and Floor exercise. Well done to our gymnast , and we wish them good luck in the future!

Last week, city of Sofia (Bulgaria) hosted the UEG Congress. Representatives of the member Federations of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) met for the biennial General Assembly. 47 of the 50 National Federations attended. Among them was the President of United Georgian Gymnastics Federation Mr. Konstantin Lashkhi. The debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information: The minutes of the 2017 General Assembly in Split (CRO) were approved.

City of Holon (Israel) is hosting the European Championships and the same city already hosted the Age Group Competitions in Acrobatic gymnastics. Our gymnasts in Men's group age category 12-18 : OKROPIRIDZE GIORGI, MARIDASHVILI SABA, KHMALADZE GIORGI and CHANADIRI GIORGI had done a good job and they had got places in the Finals.

On 23-28 October city of Tbilisi held an Medea Jugheli International tournament in Artistic gymnastics ''MEDEA CUP''. Medea "Mzia" Jugeli was a Georgian artistic gymnast. She competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics, finishing within top 15 in all artistic gymnastics events, and winning one gold and one silver medal. She was the first Georgian woman who won the Olympic medal. She won seven national titles in the vault, in 1946, 1947 and 1951–1955. She was the honorable Sports master of the USSR,

At the moment, the city of BAKU is hosting the World Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Among the gymnasts form allover the world are our 3 RG gymnasts: Salome Pazhava, Natela Bolataeva and Ketevan Arbolishvili. Our girls had done very good job and they had taken the 9TH Team ranking place among the 42 world teams. And the most important news is that our team leader Salome Pazhava got the final place

2-7 September city of Batumi (Georgia) held an International tournament in Artistic Gymnastics 'R.Sikharulidze Cup2019'. More than 100 gymnasts from : Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Lietuva, Latvia, had participated. The first day of the participation was Team and All-Around competitions day. In the MAG Team competition the winners were boys from Lietuva, on the second place guys form Armenia, and the third were team from the Ukraine. In the WAG Team competition the winners were girls from the Ukraine, the second were team of Belarus, and the third team were from Lietuva. Also, were given medals and prizes to the All-Around Junior and Senior winners in both sexes.
