The First National Festival

Last Saturday, December 2nd, city of Tbilisi held the first Gymnastics For All festival. The United Georgian Gymnastics Federation started developing the discipline "Gymnastics for All" in 2019 and 3 international tournaments and two international seminars have already been held in Georgia. In addition, this year, for the first time, a team from Georgia participated in the international tournament held in Baku Azerbaijan). Anyone can participate in the GFA discipline, regardless of age, gender and whether he is a gymnast or an athlete. 52 teams (500 participants) from Tbilisi and different regions of Georgia took part in the December 2 festival. Both gymnastics clubs and dance learning centers participated. The Georgian RG Junior National group and the inclusive Zumba fitness show group, which included a person with the special needs, took part in the opening ceremony. Participating clubs and teams: 1. Chardakhi club "Elisa" (Head of the club and coach: Nino Berianidze) 6. Gymnastics Development Center - Acrobatics (coaches: Nino Berianidze, Mariam Gigolashvili, Manana Khutsishvili, Ekaterine Khubuluri, 7. Rustavi Acro teams: "Angels" and "Funny" (head coach: Victoria Lebedeva, coach: Saba Zazadze). 8. Nelli Saladze Academy (Head of the club: Nelli Saladze, coaches: Salome Urishadze and Salome Otarashvili). 9. Club "Silhoutte_M" (Head of the club and coach: Marine Morbedadze) 10. Club ,,KN’’ (Head of the club and coaches: Keti Asitashvili and Nazi Asitashvili) 11. Yasunori Tochibana’ course in Georgia

At the beginning of the year, the President of the UGGF Mr. Lashkhi had addressed to the Presindent of the FIG Mr.Watanabe with a kind request to organize a course for the Georgian coaches. Mr. Watanabe redirected this request to the Gymnastics Association of Japan, and they sent to Georgia an expert coach Mr. Yasunori Tochibana.

Mr. Yasunori Tachibana currently working as a full-time coach of Japan Olympic Committee and also, Gymnastics Multi-Support Committee Chairman. He has the FIG Coach’s brevet. He was the Japanese Artistic Gymnastics Head coach at the 2012 Olympic games.
