The Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met online today to discuss the planned 2020 events and came to the following decisions: - FIG will be asked to inform the IOC that due to the current Covid19 situation all over Europe we cannot organise any Olympic qualification at our European Championships this year. The conditions in the current situation are considered not appropriate for such an important decision and we do not want to pressure our federations to travel to an event (only due to it being Olympic qualifying event) to which they otherwise might not want to come. - The 2020 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics allocated to Kyiv (UKR) will be maintained (without Olympic qualification). - Due to some open organisational questions, the decision regarding the 2020 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics will be taken on Monday 5 October 2020.
