GEORGIAN NOC ANNUAL SESSION 2017

On December 22, at the "Biltmore" hotel, the Georgian National Olympic Committee's annual report was attended by 107 delegates from 133 delegates who had the right to vote. Among the delegates of the session were our Federation’s delegates: Konstantin Lashkhi – President, Rusudan Khoperia – Secretary General, Rusudan Sikharulidze- The First Vice-President and Neli Saladze Vice-President.

The session was attended by the members of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee, the Vice President of the International Federation of Athletics, the President of Ukraine EOC Sergey Bubka, Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia Mikheil Giorgadze, Deputy Minister Shalva Gogoladze, and other honorable guests.

The first speaker was the President of Georgian NOC Leri Khabelov. He spoke about the 2017 performances, sports achievements and, also, about the future plans for the coming year.

Also, speeches were given by the President of our Federation- Konstantin Lashkhi, President of Handball Federation of Georgia-Zurab Kakabadze, President of Figure Skating federation Of Georgian- Mariam Giorgobiani, President of Weightlifting Federation of Georgia-Kakhi Kakhiashvili .

The International Olympic Committee's special diploma was awarded to the three time World and four time European champion , our Federation’s Secretary General -Rusudan Khoperia.

Olympic medals were awarded by several sportsmen for the contribution in Georgian sports and the Olympic Movements, including Vice-President of our Federation- Neli Saladze.

We congratulate Ms. Khoperia and Ms. Saladze for these awards and wish them a good health and happiness!
