From 17 TO 19 OF JUNE , Israel was the proud host of its first ever European Championships. Rhythmic Gymnastics is hugely popular in Israel with recent success at the 2015 European Games and the 2015 European Championships leading to medal prospects this year, at home in Holon.
With a capacity of nearly 3000 spectators, the Holon Toto Arena provided a great atmosphere for the 200+ gymnasts to compete in. All three days were sold out, adding to the success of the event.
From Georgia were competing with the best 19 gymnasts our gymnast Salome Pazhava. She had executed all her exercises very well. Salome had got the 5 TH place with 73.433 points. The first was Iana Kudriavtseva (RUS) with 76.082 points, the second was Margarita Mamun (RUS) with 75.632 points, the third was Hana Rizatdinova (UKR) with 75.299 points, and the fourth was Melitina Staniuta (BLR) with 73.715.
That is great thing that Salome is always competing on such a high note, and she is always between the leaders, this gives us hope that she will do very well at the Rio2016 Olympic Games.
