ONE MORE LICENCE FOR MINSK GAMES

10-14 April in Szczecin (Poland), took place 8th European Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships. At the tournament were up to grabs the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games licenses, and also , the 2ND European Games Minsk 2019 licences. Our WAG gymnast Polina Borzykh got one Nominative license for the Minsk Games 2019. This is the 5th licence for our gymnasts. We had already 3 Trampoline gymnastics licences and 1 Rhythmic gymnastics licence. The Games will take place from 20 June till 1 July 2019. Good luck to our gymnasts!

R. Khoperia the best Judge of Georgia

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia hold an annual award ceremony *The Sportsperson of the Year*. Awards were given out in 11 different categories and also, 10 special prizes were awarded.
For the first time in the history the title of the Best Sportsperson of the Year were given to 6 athletes at once: Lukhum Chkhvimini (Judo), Lasha Talakhdze (Weightlifting), Geno Petriashvili (Free Style Wrestling), Lasha Gobadze (Greek-Roman Wrestling), Beka Lomtadze (Free Style Wrestling), Nugzar Tsurtsumia (Greek-Roman Wrestling).
United Georgian Gymnastics Federation were awarded with one title and one special ward.
