The European Youth Olympic Festival opened in Tbilisi, Georgia, Sunday evening. Close to 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in nine disciplines: volleyball, tennis, swimming, cycling, handball, judo, basketball, athletics and gymnastics.
The 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival will take place from the 26th July - 1st August 2015. Its participants, between the ages of 14 and 18. The festivals are organized in two-year cycles and run by the Association of European Olympic Committees and its committee.
