ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS ECH CHANGED HOST COUNTRY

The Executive Committee of European Gymnastics met online today to discuss the 2020 European Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. After the notification from Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation that due to the pandemic no major events can be hosted in Azerbaijan until the end of 2020, the EC came to the following decisions: - The 2020 European Championships in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics will be maintained (without Olympic qualification) from 9 to 13 December 2020 but will move to Mersin (TUR). - The 2020 European Championships in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics will be maintained (without Olympic qualification) from 17 to 20 December 2020 but will move to Mersin (TUR).

Our acrobats are in the finals

The Polish city of Rzeszow is hosting the World Cup and an International tournament in Acrobatic Gymnastics. Our Acrobats are taking part in both tournaments. Today, after the qualification stage, Women's Trio will compete in the World Cup final: Kristi Melia, Salome Maisuradze and Nino Dvalishvili. As for the International tournament, a Mixed Pair will compete in the final (13-19 age group): Lasha Ghibradze, Lana Tsurtsumia And also the Men's Pair: Beka Didberidze, Giorgi Chighladze. The finals will be held on June 5th. Good luck to our gymnasts!
